Sticky Trap Horsefly Glue - glue for horseflies and other biting flies

Sticky Trap Horsefly Glue is an ecological glue designed for use with traps for horseflies, botflies, and other blood-sucking insects. It does not contain pesticides or insecticides – it works mechanically, trapping insects on its sticky surface. The product is resistant to rain and changing weather conditions, and one application remains effective for 8–16 weeks (minimum 8 weeks, depending on weather conditions).

How does it work?

Female botflies and horseflies need to feed on blood before laying eggs. When searching for a host, they are primarily attracted by heat and movement. A dark bucket heated by the sun or a special black trap moving in the wind resembles a large animal to them, so insects readily land on it.

A surface covered with Sticky Trap Horsefly Glue traps insects immediately upon contact. Immobilized females are unable to continue feeding or lay eggs, which helps to gradually reduce the population of botflies and horseflies in the area. Regular use of traps reduces the number of subsequent generations of insects and improves the comfort of horses in the pasture.

How to use: Mix thoroughly before use. Apply a thin layer of glue to a dedicated black trap or a black plastic bucket, which, when heated by the sun, attracts horseflies and botflies. Place the trap in a sunny location. When stickiness is lost, a new layer can be applied without removing the previous one.

Coverage: 0.5 l of glue is enough to cover one trap or bucket approximately 10 times.
It is recommended to use 2–3 traps for every 10,000 m² of pasture. With a larger number of horses, it is advisable to use additional traps.

Important information: The product is glue only and requires use with an appropriate black trap or black bucket. The glue itself is not a standalone trap.
