Horslyx contains a small amount of sugar compared to daily feed. A 500kg horse consumes approximately 50kg of grass per day (2000g of sugar). A horse consuming 0.25kg of Horslyx will only consume 82.5g of sugar. Therefore, the lick does not pose an excessive dietary burden and can be safely used as a supplement.
